The SU-100 was a Soviet tank destroyer that entered service in 1944. The emergence of this model is due to the need to strengthen self-propelled artillery at the end of the war. The newly designed D10 100mm gun was mounted on the slightly modified hull of the well-known SU-85. Approximately 4,500 examples of this vehicle were manufactured in 1944-46. The tank destroyer was very popular and was used in dozens of armies around the world. Several countries still keep the SU-100 on standby.
The SU-100 model was designed entirely with COBI building blocks. By including many great pad prints, the vehicle could be faithfully reproduced. The set does not include stickers, just prints! And the prints won't scratch or smear, even under heavy use. The model is equipped with a powerful caterpillar undercarriage, a movable cannon and an opening hatch. Under the service hatch is a detailed engine. The set includes blocks with a choice of Soviet and Polish markings, another innovative and fun feature that COBI brings to the set. The set is completed by a figure of a soldier with a Mosin rifle, hat and red flag. The easy-to-read guide provides a list of blocks and stats to use in the free COBI Historical Battle Game.
This COBI kit is ideal for building dioramas that replicate the Eastern Front. The SU-100 is the perfect gift idea for all ages and a great way to start your COBI kit adventure
