4832 Cobi

Parts: 2684

Yamato - a battleship built during World War II and served in the Imperial Japanese Navy. It is the first Yamato-class warship, which, along with its twin Musashi, was the largest battleship built in human history. The basic idea behind building such powerful warships was the arms race with the USA, which dominated the Pacific. Construction of the Yamato began in 1937 and commissioned on December 16, 1941, a week after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship was armed, among other things, with nine monstrous 460mm guns. Its overall length was 263 meters, width 38.9 meters, draft 11 meters and had a displacement of 65,000 tons. It reached a top speed of 27 knots (50 km/h). Almost 2,500 people served on the ship. It was sunk by American torpedo planes and bombers in a major battle on April 7, 1945.

The Executive Edition includes a unique figure of Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto compared to the Standard Edition. The set also includes two additional nano planes and a black plate that can be mounted on a pedestal.

Yamato is a giant model made of COBI building blocks. Like other warships, it was designed in a 1:300 scale model. The latest edition is a new edition! The ship has been rebuilt and includes the latest stones and construction solutions. It reproduces even the smallest details of its historical model even more faithfully. When the 2,684 elements are assembled, the battleship's hull is 90 cm long and 19.5 cm high. It has many moving elements, such as: guns and anti-aircraft batteries, rotating artillery turrets, rudders and propellers. The set includes a special display stand with a plate imprinted with the ship's name. A beautiful addition is a unique brick imitating the Golden Orchid, that is, the imperial symbol that adorned the prow of the ship. The model is perfect for all lovers of history, military, marine and military technology. It looks great and arouses admiration and interest! Thanks to the intuitive instructions based on clear symbols, the construction is simple and easy. Estimated build time for one model is around 8 hours! The model was designed and manufactured in Poland (EU).
