Lockheed P-38H Lightning

CB-5726

Parts: 545

Historical classification:

The Lockheed® P-38 LIGHTNING® is a fast and heavily armed American long-range fighter of World War II. This unusual twin-engine aircraft had a nacelle with a pilot's cabin located between two fuselages. The so-called "Der Flugrahmen" delivered very good performance, which was reflected in a long production time from 1941 to 1945 and an excellent number of kills by American pilots. The aircraft was not decommissioned until 1965.

Description of the model:

P-38 LIGHTNING was released under the original license of the American defense concern Lockheed Martin. The aircraft, which is faithfully reproduced on a scale of 1:32, consists of 545 COBI building blocks. The model is provided with high-quality prints that will not wear out even with intensive use. It is worth paying attention to the characteristic markings and emblems related to the historical machine with the number 208 and the symbol of the Pluto dog. The plane features rotating propellers, folding landing gear, movable ailerons and an opening cabin where you can place a well-detailed pilot figure. The whole set is completed with a building block with the name of the set and the Lockheed Martin logo printed on it! This famous aircraft makes the perfect gift idea for fans of aviation, history and technology. It will surely satisfy picky collectors and young people fascinated by building blocks. Build history block by block with COBI!
